Risks of potential harassment or retaliation when flying with flyertalk tag?

I know this may sound silly, but what are the chances of such harassments/retaliation when carrying an FT tag on carry-ons, luggage, etc?

Ever since the 'enhanced' patdowns are in place, and following protests of these enhancements; I am wondering if FT had become the forefront of TSA's annoyance to public protests, hence the question.

Hell, I'm wondering how long it will take for me to get on a no fly list just for posting here.

I fly from Texas to DCA on Sunday and back on Tuesday. I'll try to remember to post here about any experiences I may have.

I have the tags prominently displayed on my carryon bags, and I haven't received any extra attention from the TSA, airline staff, or anyone. I think one of the receptionists at an Admirals Club mentioned it once, but that's it.

In fact, the NoS was shut down at least twice as I was in line right before I went through. Is this a coincidence or TSOs not wanting to deal with more likely opt-outs? I'd place money on the former, but it's fun to imagine the possiblities.

TSA has never mentioned anything about it to me. Airline crews yes (many times in fact...it's a good conversation starter) but not the Smurfs.

When I worked for the government, one of my duties was tracking people down (related to business taxes), I realized just how easy it was to get all sorts of useful information on people. Plus, I was required to use my real name and all that in a professional context. So I kind of stopped caring. I probably should care more, but eh.

Same here, for many years.

I HAVE met other FTers because of FT luggage tags. ^

I have only seen one of those tags in my 8 years at TSA. The person who had it on the bag did not post on TSS. Most of the line officers dont know about this forum.

I've noticed that some TSA clerks have scowled either at my FT tag, or my Blogdad Bob shirt when I fly out of DEN...

I think this is probably the correct answer.

No they didn't. You are mistaken. They are always friendly.

Just curious, but how do you know that person did not post on TSS??? Did they tell you that and you believed them?
