Just an FYI, I just received an anecdotal report from my mother regarding the GE process at IAD Customs Main Hall.

Apparently, there is currently a construction project that is impacting the main hall. GE still works for expeditiously getting one through the immigration stations. However, there is a construction project related to the new luggage area and the egress point to the lower level of the main terminal that is negatively impacting GE users. ALL travelers are sent through a Customs checkpoint that is only manned by two CBP officers and does not have a GE-expedited/Crew lane.

I have not been through the mess, but it is an apparent change from two weeks ago (the last time my dad went through the same area, when it still had a GE-expedite/Crew lane at the Customs station). My mother believes it is temporary, but was not permitted to ask questions of the CBP officers and was denied the ability to use the "CBP" sticker to get "head of line" privileges (one of the published benefits of the program).
