New Passport Questions

I was wondering with the new RFID chip will this speed my time waiting in the immigration lines? Is it true that I go to a special line with the passport chip? Does this eliminate the stamps in the passport and the country will instead track my entry and exit on the computer.

It seems like now countries like Israel do not require one to fill out a landing card. Is this going to be the same for the USA and other countries and we would only need to fill out a declaration card if we exceeded the requirements.

Pretty much an all-around no to all your questions.

If you get Global Entry, you can avoid the lines and complete the declaration on a touchscreen kiosk. This comes at a cost, however, namely your privacy and $100 for 5 years. The passport with a chip in it doesn't really help much of anything as far as the traveler is concerned.

Every time I enter any country (including USA) with my biometric passport, in the best case the MRZ will be scanned, and in the worst - the border guard will be typing info manually. I am not even sure the chip was actually used once.

Mine has never been used - even in the lanes that purport to have the scanner.
