Security for Cattle class only at LHR?

Traveled through LHR back to US twice in the last few weeks and noticed that my C Boarding Pass gave me speedy access through secondary screening. My bags weren't checked again and I was courteously directed to the next agent who screened my BP with the electronic scanner before farewell[ing] me with a "pleasant flight".

Were you bags screened at security or not?
You refer to 'secondary screening', what do you think they missed the first time?

How can you complain about having to put up with the 'nonsense' of Immigration in another country in one thread and then complain about not be subjected to a 'secondary' security screening in another thread?

Bags checked when I went through security but weren't at the secondary screening. For flights leaving for US, passengers have to go through secondary or additional screening. And this I found to be granted an exception and from what I saw was because of a C boarding pass. I am not complaining about not having to go through additional security screening in LHR. I am stating a fact and are curious if this is a just way to do security clearance.

How did you read this as "complaining"?

I had the same experience on 3/21 flying LHR-IAD in C. I flashed my C boarding pass to the "moat dragon" near the gate area, and was directed away from the small secondary screening area that the Y pax were being funneled through. Nice and easy!

It's been shown that Evul Islamist Turrists only travel Cattle Class, therefore there is no need to check anyone else

The airlines have a quota of passengers they must check carry-ons for at the gate for US-bound flights. It is up to the airline to select who gets exempt and who does not.

And on a recent UK to US flight I took they seemed to only do the secondary screening on the first X number of passengers to arrive in the gate lounge area, they stopped pulling pax to one side for the checks about five people in front of me in the line and waved the rest of us through. Good news for anyone dawdling at the lounge...

Its random... In T1 UA, I've had the gate screening when travelling in C, and not had it when holding a Y boarding card
