Global Entry Interview locations

One thing I never got from my searching on this... are the Global Entry "Enrollment Locations" listed on the GOES web site the only places where you can schedule your Global Entry interview? I'm thinking of signing up for this program, but I'm wondering if the only way to do an interview is to schedule it while in transit through one of those airports. I live in Austin, TX, so not in a place where I can just drive over on a break from work to be interviewed unless there are locations other than the "enrollment locations" listed.

Having to schedule an interview, which means scheduling in some extra slack time while in transit through one of those airports on one of my trips seems to me to be the hardest part of this process.

Yes, you can only have a Global Entry interview in a place that they have an office. AFAIK, they do not have offices outside of the ones on the website to interview...

At this time no.

The closest to you is Houston Bush Intercontinental so you need to drive over or find a quick CO mile run ^

That's too bad. Thanks for the quick responses. I guess I would have to schedule a long layover at one of those airports and plan that in advance. I'm assuming it's not hard to find a slot after I pick a date and airport.

The GE appointments for the most part were very easy to get and change (I did my enrollment on a 3 hour layover in JFK), so you can do the reverse if you so choose, pick a date and then change it to match your travel plans.

Wirelessly posted (Iphone.: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

The exception is DFW. Ilthey are booked weeks in advance. According to cbp, it is the longest wait for an appointment and much of it us people connecting thru DFW and doing their interviews. Also, flight crews. Flight crews are joining.

I can see why. All those DFWers probably want to avoid CBP agents at one of the most notorious POEs.
