This is pure balderdash. The Telegraph already has the release by the airport stating it is not true:

She(TSA Spokeswoman) said there would be no investigation into his claims because they "simply could not be true".
So, the veracity of the government's claims stands on their SAYING so. And they would never lie to us, or would they? Oh yea, I forgot, they LIE TO US WITH IMPUNITY, all the time.

So, how hard is it to take a DIGITAL CAMERA PHOTO of the image, run to the nearest copier and run off a few copies? Impossible? I think not.

That's exactly what I would expect them to say if the story was false.

Unfortunately, it's also exactly what I would expect them to say if the story was true.

A TSO can't go to the washroom and not wash his hands without this forum knowing about it.

For some reason, I just picture someone in a back room using a telegraph and tapping out Morse code for this.

... - - - ... That s about all I have on Morse, but everytime I quote that source I think the exact same thing.

I think this was a joke by the star, and he did too good of a job pulling off the "deadpan serious this really happened" to the masses. Once he realized that admitting the joke after letting it go so long would create a backlash, he let it go and won't comment. I also think he has a new movie coming out and this will create tons of publicity for the movie and himself, so for purely selfish reasons he will let it fly to keep getting the attention and press. MHO.

The problem I have is some of the media and the folks here making a connection to DHS/TSA when in this case, (had things even occurred the way they said) we would not have been involved at all.

Said movie star could have another reason for letting this go, he had some conflict with US authorities last year (I think, I am just too bloody lazy to look it up) and this could be a way to take a backhanded swipe at both the US and UK governments (because look at how many sources have already named TSA/DHS when they were not involved). Again, MHO.

He did have a movie he's promoting this time. And interestingly enough when the incident happened last year, he also was promoting a movie then. Hmmmm.....

I saw two of them myself just yesterday. Is this actually the correct place to report the events?

To be fair, they both did wash.

Basically uneventful trip SFO->RDU via DFW BOS when you discount the inability for AA to rebook due to snow at DFW, the lost luggage, the $150 charge for overweight luggage, and the last-minute ("oh, this one is boarding, do you want to see if you can make it?") booking.

I love flying...
