Blogger Bob

Have You ever tried to visualize a face with a name? I was just looking at some passenger TSA video's on Youtube and ran across Blogger Bob x-raying a Macbook Air. He couldn't show it to us because it's "SSI", but he says he knows why after seeing the x-ray that it causes so many TSA agents to become confused.

Anyway, I thought for those of you who have never seen Blogger Bob that you may want to be able to put a face and voice with the name, so here it is.

How pointless!

"We are going to show this laptop go through the X-ray machine, but we are not actually going to show anything."

How can the image on the display be rationally classified as sensitive? Most checkpoints have the screens visible to everyone walking past.

Oh no, not SSI !!!

Just do a Google image search for "Xray Macbook Air"

http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/5517/98980318tz6.jpg

and you will see what the TSA doesn't want you to see.

What was the point of that video?

"We are going to show you how we Xray the computer, but we can't show you the image."

"We go our hands on a Macbook Air."

Yeah, they probably asked a screener to steal one from a passenger's checked bags.

Not surprised in the least. Other than now knowing what Bob looks like, that video was just as informative as the blog.

I used to work with Bob when he was at CVG. He's a nice guy but I think he may have drank to much TSA kool aid

That would account for Bob's size. How much sugar does TSA put it its Kool Aid?

Why did TSA even waste the time and resources to post the video if they won't show us the results? Idiots..

Bobbo appears to be rejecting my most recent comment at PV.

First time I didn't save it. Second and third time I did.

Get over to the older entry and do your job. Reply to the questions and comments about the TSO who planted drugs to find.

I'm not surprised. I have tried to ask him similar statements and they "suspiciously" never get posted... This is what our tax dollars are paying for We should fire Bob and find someone who actually responds to questions and works for free!

Quite honestly I dont blame him. The comment was inappropriate.

But to answer your question about the screener, he is now in the unemployment line. And thats all I know about it.

Thanks a lot very interesting. What would be your professional opinion about the fact that harmless 'joking' at a checkpoint gets a passenger into jail while a serious and mean practical joke at the checkpoint causes a TSA worker 'to be in the unemployement line' only?

Amazing!

I never would have known what a laptop going into (and coming out of!) an x-ray machine looked like without this video.

Thanks Blogger Bob!

[actually, this video does seem to have been made all the way back in 2008 before most of America knew what x-ray machines were and how items were placed in the tub ... what? ... oh ... sorry ... nevermind]
