Not really interesting - just Joe Sharkey spraying mindless kudos on the TSA and its stupidity. A real journalist would have analyzed all the holes and issues with inSecureFlight and pointed them out in the article, then challenged the TSA to respond.

Of course that's if a real journalist wrote the article. After posing here at TS/S as a potential anti-TSA crusader, Sharkey turned out to be nothing but a shill for the TSA. The article is nothing more than a 3rd party PR and instructional piece for inSecureFlight.

However, he did include this in his piece:

Lets not even consider the potential for data-entry typing mistakes there.
That's going to be a huge problem, IMO.

Especially when we do it deliberately.

The biggest issue that he failed to point out - the screeners have no way of verifying the information sent to SF matches your ticket or ID.

In addition, it affords actual terrorists a way out. By submitting false or altered info to SF, they will steer clear of any lists they *might* be on (lets not forget that the lists don't have actual terrorist names on them) and get to the checkpoint unhindered - where they can clear with their own identities without having to go through any further checks or run the risk of being stopped.

Yes, indeed (and I couldn't have said it better myself).
