California Sprint Plan
I just switched to Sprint to get Alaska miles - they offer 10,000 over about an 11 month period. One plan has 7 cents a minute, and $5.95 per month. Since I plan to use a onesuite access to get 2.9 cents a minute, I wanted a lower monthly fee.
She checked, and said there is a California 7 cents plan that is only $2.00 per month - but they only give 5,000 miles - but these come 2,500 after first month, 2,500 after 6th - plus 1000 if you sign up for local toll too. Since I don't want to be tied up for a year waiting for miles, this actually works better.
I also asked if they would cover the switching charges and they said yes - if I hadn't asked this wasn't going to be done, so you'd better ask.
