Sprint Rewards
Yesterday, received notice that since I do not spend $50 per month per line, my two telephone lines signed up for Sprint Rewards will end on April 6, 2002. Spent almost an hour on hold trying to get to someone at Sprint to tell me how many points I had and how to turn them into something of value. After the long wait, got an agent who turned my slightly less than 63000 points into a promised check for $150.00. If by the deadline my slightly less than 3000 remaining points go over 3000, I can call again for a phone card. Thanks Sprint. The only saving grace from this one is that there has been no monthly service charge on the two lines.

I got the same notice. I'd been trying to get to 240,000 points, but have taken the money, actually the tickets, and run. Sprint doesn't care that I'm not using quite $50./month on the residential line because the LD is going on two of their PCS phones.
The next point level was all that was holding me. Sprint service has been worse and worse for some time. I've been with them through about 10 moves, since when they were US Sprint and US Tel, in Texas, before that, but it -long- past time to go. I hear those Johnny Paychecks lyrics with a new twist ... "Take this phone and ... "
The final stroke was finding out that the free tickets I'd saved points for, weren't too free at all. To use two of the 'free' domestic RT tickets cost $162. Yeah, it's in there in the small sprint, er print. Heard of good mile deals elsewhere?. I think I'm hearing a couple of phones drop.
