I am moving from the east coast to the west next week and will be establishing a new phone number. Although I have had it with MCI customer "service" hassles, if I can get something like the 25k offer again, I will sign up with them long enough to collect the bonus and then move on to AT&T or Sprint.

But, I already received the 25k once with American, and when I tried to get it a second time I was denied and when I complained, they pulled up the fact that my AAdvantage account had been credited with X number of bonus miles during the past two years. Since I obtained an MCI bonus with my United account in 1998, I didn't try to get the 25k through United and let the issue die.

Now that I'm moving, I want a sign-up bonus, and the third airline that I have miles with is Delta, and with whom I have never had an MCI posting. So, with the new address, new phone number and new account, I figure I should be able to get a new bonus with Delta.

What's the best deal out there?

roti-- I too got the "you have recived X number of miles in the last year" line from MCI also, but now I noticed their saying that you can have one bonus per year. So you should have been able to get a bonus in 99 if your last was in 98. But then again, we are talking about MCI here...

I hate MCI. Couldn't even begin to list all the times they've lied to me and screwed me over. But, at the moment I am collecting 5K a month steadily for 2-3 months on each of 4 lines, including 2 that do not even seem to have been switched to MCI (not my fault!) They are billing me a $5 minimum on one of those lines, but for 5K miles I can live with that. They are giving 10K/month on DL, 5K/month on CO, and 2.5K/month on AA which AA matches. AA is slow to post the match, but it does come. I think I'm going to switch another line to them! Good luck to all!
