Ready to Switch
You Expertise please...
I Just got my 25k/Delta filled in Oct.
In November I correctly closed my MCI account & switched to Sprint for one month.
I now am going back to MCI for a second 25k.
Here's my question:
Should I try to get it again with the same Delta or should I use a United account number?
Do MCI (Computers) "remember" that the PHONE LINE earned 25k or do they "remember" the F-FLYER number earned the 25k?
P.S. (I realize that some of you do not condone this earning method, but I can live with it)

I don't know if MCI "remembers" the phone number used to collect 25k, but I'm sure that they remember your FF number. I signed up for the MCI offer back in July, and a couple of months later I signed up for another phone line. (At a different address) I gave the same FF number both times. When I went to check the account for my second line some time later at www.mci.com/service , it also showed the miles I earned with my first phone line!

Basiclly I'd like to earn the 25k back in some of the SAME FF accounts (i.e. Conn & Delta), vs. starting over in say American which I have NO miles at all.

I've switched to and from MCI twice in the past year, keeping the same SkyMiles account for credit. Once I received the sign-up bonus, not the other time. Both times I was contacted by MCI encouraging me to switch back--not a proactive switch on my behalf.

Tasnam.........I would definitely use a different account. You may get lucky & collect the 25K a second time but more likely than not if you're using the same phone number & the same skymiles number it won't work. The worse part is that you'll think you're signed up for the bonus. If you call to check they'll say yes but the miles just won't show up in your account. I know because it happened to me. If you use a different airline you should be fine. However every time you call MCI you get a different story, so you never can be sure. Good luck.
