Getting 5000 Continental Miles not so clear
I was thinking of going back to ATT to get CO miles, maybe change the program later and get Starwood.
There is a website link that offers the 5K miles. When I called ATT they first said they weren't offering any bonus. I asked about the ones on the website, and after a while was told that I could sign up on the phone, and later go to the website and be able to get the bonus miles. I wasn't confident, so I said I'd wait and do it online.
After going to the online site, when I went to sign up, it said I needed to call.
This made it seem a little circular, and very unclear about whether I'd ever get anything - so I decided to pass and try Sprint for Alaska miles.

I completed the 5k miles ( plus 1k online bonus) from CO a few months back from ATT and then switched back to MCI,had thought about going back when my MCI period ends.
What we may be seeing is other LD carriers playing hardball with the possible Chapter 11 of MCI
Fred:
Is the Sprint deal only for AS and available only in CA,I have Sprint on one line and their NWA agreement ends in April 03, but I did not know Sprint was giving other FF program miles othrt than the current Worldperks Miles. How about Sprint PCS?

I just did it - but I was not an existing customer, so I had to call the number listed and give them the extension. That was it. Everything was set up over the phone.

I don't know what Sprint has beyond Alaska. They have offers that are not just for California, even offering more miles (10,000 after about 11 months) but with a $5.95 monthly charge. I think they do have something for Sprint PCS, but I don't have a Cell (probably one of about 5 Flyertalkers who don't) so I'm not sure the details.

Sorry about that, thanks for the reply though, I suppose I am being a little premature since I will be getting NWA miles till next Feb when I believe when the agreement with Worldperks ends.
By then we might be back to one large phone company (ATT??) and no miles.
