Lima->Nazca->Cuzco by air?
Dipping into the wealth of knowledge here on flyertalk.
Next year I'm headed to Cuzco for a couple of weeks.
I'm kind of hesitant of taking the 17 hour bus ride from Nazca to Cuzco... and taking the one day round trip tour to Nazca from Lima before heading to Cuzco seems like I'm doubling back ( as well as being kind of pricey ).
As I'm going via Lima, I was wondering if anyone knows the best options to getting from Lima to Nazca (overnighting) and then to Cuzco by air one way?
TIA

I looked quite thoroughly at this for our trip last December. There is no way to fly from Nazca to Cusco. Your options are to do a return trip to Lima or to take the bus down to Arequipa. You can then visit Colca Canyon, which is very interesting, and fly on to Cusco from there.

Seems like an opportunity for someone down there in Peru.

We were in Peru in June and took a bus from Lima to Nasca, aprox 4-6 hours. We spent the night in Nasca, saw the Nasca sites the following day and then took an overnight bus to Arequipa. After a few days in Arequipa and the Colca Canyon, which was great, we flew one way to Cusco. Worked like a charm.

Your only options are a return to Lima or the bus down to Arequipa, sorry. Although Nazca gets a fair amount of touristas, I doubt there is enough volume to warrant a commerical flight. Coupled with the south coast's infamous fog, I suspect there would be a lot of cancellations if anyone did fly the route.
