Dining in Cuzco
I would like to take Mrs. T for a nice dinner on an evening we have coming up in Cuzco in a few months (we're going on 1 week long Peru tour
).
Any recommendations? Think not super pricey (I doubt there's too many), but quiet and romantic...

I happened to meet the owner, if he's still the owner, at a pop-up in Seattle a years ago. They have an option to learn from one of their awesome bartenders how to make your own Pisco Sour and I of course jumped at the chance. While the menu is small it more than makes up with care of ingredients and great flavors, the three dishes we had were more than enough. The live music was entertaining but sadly started so late we only stayed a for a few songs before having succumbing to the siren song of our beds.

We had an excellent meal at Chicha por Gaston Acurio and an interesting one at the MAP Cafe (in the courtyard of the Museum of Pre Columbian Art).

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in Peru back in January, 1 of which was in Cusco. While none of the food in Peru majorly thrilled us (most was bland in our respectful opinion as we both like bold/intense flavors) our favorite place in Cusco was Uchu Peruvian Steakhouse. It was a neat and romantic spot where you could grill various types of meats at your table on a hot stone. Lots of options, moderately priced, good side choices, and a good cocktail/wine list if interested. A 2nd recommendation would be GreenPoint Vegan restaurant which was a neat semi-outdoor setting with all plant-based food, but the taste was so in that you couldn't tell!
Have a great trip.
