Bus from Lima to Pisco / Paracas
Doing a search for the luxury bus rides from Lima to Paracas and back. Did a search on the Oltursa ad Curz del Sur websites but it looks like "Pisco" or "Paracas" is not technically listed as a destination.
Question : Should I just look for a bus to Ica or maybe Nazca and assume that they will go by Pisco? How do I work the logistics of this out?
Thanks,
SF

I've done Lima to Paracas/Huancachina - stop - Paracas/Nasca to Arequipa by bus but it was so long ago I forget the details! sorry. But for sure there are lots of bus options... I even recall seeing some that did a one day return trip - early departure (like 4 am). Someone will know though, if not, I can check it out for you.

Anyway, most people going there take either Soyuz or Flores to cruze de Pisco. Those companies aren't luxury rides but they have very frequent departures. Soyuz has departures every 4-5 minutes and Flores every 15 minutes. Cruze de Pisco is ~5 kms from downtown Pisco and taxi should cost max 10 soles. Of course it's question of personal priorities but often luxury buses depart only very early in the morning while those taking non-luxury bus late in the evening can spend the night sleeping in bed. From Lima it's 3,5-4 hour ride to Pisco.

Did this last month and DO plan it out if making it a day trip out of Lima.
The messing arounf at the airport that does the Nazca flights is absurd .. full security and ticketing silliness so that took an hour.
Then flight was another hour and then it flies forever from Paracas to Nazca (why not have airport at Nazca???????????????????????????) over the rocks and near all on pane were sick.
then 5 or 10- mins circling some rather dubious lines and then another lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng flight back tp Paracas where we missed our sked bus.
After much messing around they drove us to Pisco and put us on a local bus to Lima that stops everywhere and was hot and packed.
We needed to get back to Lima for our 10pm UA flight back to Newark and it was a VERY close thing.
So allow a lot of time for that pretty disappointing flight
The fancy Cruz bus is very nice - biz airline type seats, and food and drink and free wifi etc that works for most of the trip.

When I flew over the lines I did it from NZC and it's a short ride, but you'll still feel a bit sick...
