Lima: Museums Night and Audio guides
Just wanted to share some info for people who will be in Lima these days.
Lima municipality has announched the second "Noche de los Museos", where museums will be open till 10pm, it's on friday, december 14. There are not details yet, but there will be more activities that night and some museums will be free, others with discounts.
Another touristic initiative is the Lima audioguide, in english and spanish, available for free to download to smartphones, thru Audio Guas Lima with 7 routes around the city.

Well, there's a wide offer. Casa de la Gastronoma Peruana is nice, though small, just for be there. More interesting are San Francisco convent & Catacombs, Santo Domingo convent (my favorite), Archeological museum of San Marcos univiersity (never been there, I'll go on friday), and the a Municipal Palace of Lima will be open (usually it is not), somebody told me it's beautiful inside, I won't miss the opportunity to visit.
There's a facebook page called "Lima Milenaria, Ciudad de Culturas". It has posted pictures with the entire list of museums.

Thanks V. Well definately the palace, been there once when they had the display of the Machu Pichu artifacts returned from Yale University and the wee part I saw was impressive, would be great to see more. and San Marcos sounds great too.
