Any feedback on the Crowne Plaza in Miraflores?

Mr. Silver Spring and I have a 3 night stay booked in June. Wonder about the hotel and location. Thanks.

JW Marriott has a great location by the ocean and the Iberia cabin crew stay there on their layovers.

It is beyond me why you global villagers patronise these bland multinational hotel brands (unless you have points that you want to burn)

I would much rather stay in a proper Peruvian boutique chain like Casa Andina. http://www.casa-andina.com/

Sheraton Lima

I am sure the OP has already taken their trip, but for any subsequent travellers I thought I should add this point - the Sheraton's cash-and-points can't be beat at 1600 +$30US for a Club room (read: evening snacks/drinks + breakfast + chocolate plate or amazing in room fresh fruit plate). Had a 3 night stay there this May and loved it. Yes the nighttime neighborhood isn't one I'd want to be wandering around, but there aren't many places in Lima I'd be happy doing that as a single 30 something. You can easily get a cab to anywhere you might be wanting to go.

The Sheraton is in a horrible location, and in the middle of atrocious traffic. Much better IMHO to stay in Miraflores.

I stayed my first night at the Sheraton and my other nights at the DoubleTree. If I had to do it again, I'd stay all my nights at the Sheraton because the rooms were much, much nicer. The Sheraton offers a great value.

How far is the Sheraton from the airport? I see everything from 15-45 minutes depending on where I look. I will be arriving at LIM at 10pm and flying to Cuzco the next day at 8am. After flying into LIM from SFO, I doubt I'll have to energy to do anything that night, and have some time booked at the back-end of my trip for Lima anyways.

So, would people recommend the Sheraton as a nice, comfy place to stay for the night? Or are there other airport hotels that people would recommend?
