Peru Immigration Question

I'm getting ready for my return flight after a 10 day stay in Lima.

Item number 7 on the Immigration card asks: Amount Expended During Your Stay in US $.

Is this supposed to be the amount spent on souvenirs or is it supposed to be the amount spent on Hotels, Meals, Transportation, Souvenirs, etc?

I'm hoping some of you seasoned Peru travellers can clear this up for me.

Thanks!

Just put an estimated number for hotel and food. No one looks at it anway. Its for statistical purposes only. Relax.

Thanks! As it turns out I left it blank. I assumed if it was a big deal they would ask me to fill it out and I would be able to ask them what expenses they wanted recorded.

You were right, the immigration agent didn't even look at it.

Thanks again.
