My personal favorite. http://ajaxparkingrus.com/coupon5.html

Keeps you out of the highway 99 mess. Cheap. Friendly, reliable service. I wouldn't count on it in the winter if there is any ice or snow though, as it is a very steep hill.

Thanks. But I have to say I'm a little frustrated. The "online reservation" is actually an email link; when you use it to email them with requested dates/times, you immediately get back an autoresponder that says "this is not a confirmation" and tells to call them.

Uh, no. I do stuff online precisely so I don't have to use the phone. :)

Check out Thriftyparking.com as a potential option. It's operated by Thrifty car rental. I have parked there for several years and never had any issues. Their regular rate is around 13.95/day and prepay rate is around 9.99/day which is a decent rate. Shuttle service is quite reliable and frequent. Sometimes the website also has coupons you can use to get a discount.

Also, I don't know if this is still being offered but the local Costco was selling Wally Park gift cards regularly at one point. Something like $100 in gift cards for $50.

evergrn Jan 23, 2016 6:40 pm

Am I correct that only Seatac, Wally and Masterpark offer covered garage parking? Every time Seatac comes out with a parking coupon, they turn out to be the cheaper option than either Wally or Masterpark... I presume that means on-site garage is the cheapest covered parking option at Seatac.

I don't even bother looking up Masterpark because I just assume their garage is even pricier than Wally Premier Garage. I just had a 2-day trip and the Seatac pkg came in at $38 with coupon, Wally garage $36 after the AAA discount. But you tip a couple bucks to the driver each way, so it comes out to $40 total at Wally. I just wish Wally and Masterpark would price themselves more competitively.

Also took a 2-wk trip over New Year's. For such a long trip, I was even open to outdoor parking. I looked at Doug Fox, Thrifty, Ajax, etc. Interestingly, the cheapest options by far were the stay, park and fly packages at a couple of the hotels. I did the 2-wk package at Doubletree and saved ~$50 over the cheapest off-site lot (price of hotel room included!). Comparing Seatac's coupon price vs Wally garage's AAA price over a 2-wk period, Seatac was still cheaper.

WallyPark Premiere Garage now 15.95/day

Around the first of the year, WallyPark Premiere Garage raised its daily parking rate for covered self-parking. It went up from $14.95/day to $15.95/day (less a 20% AAA discount if you qualify).

Plus all the usual fees and surcharges that are either taxes or WallyPark-specific.

Wally Park Covered Garage - declining service

Anybody else think the service level at the Wally Park Covered Garage has deteriorated? Longer waits for valet checkin, less frequent returns? The last time through their little coupons that allow you to just pickup your keys and run (they run your credit card while you are on the way over) didn't work. Although, to be fair they did give me a free day parking over that issue.

There doesn't seem to be more customers so I can only think they have cut back on employees.

WallyPark cuts AAA discount without notice

Leaving WallyPark Premier Garage last night, I noticed my receipt showed a 15% discount for AAA, a lower discount than the 20% I had last month.

The kiosk person said even she hadn't been told the AAA discount had been reduced. I, as a customer, certainly hadn't.

This is the second reduction in AAA discount since I began parking at WallyPark (it originally was 25%). That, combined with day rate increases and added fees (plus an awful new reservation system that does not recognize discounts and requires full advance pre-payment), makes WallyPark Premier Garage a poor choice.

Best week-long parking at SEA?

Living in downtown Seattle we take Link to SEA exclusively instead of bothering with driving, but with an upcoming trip that has us taking a 5 a.m. flight out and a return flight that lands back at SEA at 2:30 a.m. ... it's not possible.

Rather than pay some $40-50 each way for an Uber or cab, is it realistic to think we can get parking at/near the airport for 8 days (well, since we land at 2:30 a.m. I suppose 9 days?) for roughly that price — understanding that we would be willing to pay a little for the convenience of just getting in our car and driving home when we arrive.

I see that the SEA terminal garage has weekly parking for $130 ... or sometimes $109 w/ a coupon, which would be ideal but we're technically parking for 9 "days." Other parking services around are cheaper, but obviously rely on a shuttle service, and the few I checked don't offer shuttles that early/late or had very infrequent schedules ... kind of defeats the purpose.

Anyone have a recommendation for this situation? There are so many parking providers that I have no idea where to start here ... Maybe just doing an Uber will be best.

missydarlin Jul 1, 2016 5:33 pm

My vote goes to taxi.

Short of parking in the airport garage, you'll need a shuttle. In the time it takes for a shuttle to show up, take you to the lot, pay, load up your car, and drive away ... you could be pulling up to your front door in a taxi.

jerry a. laska Jul 1, 2016 5:55 pm

Other than taxi, I might consider a park and fly rate at one of the Seatac hotels then you wouldn't have to get up so early to make that 5am flight.

I would try Uber. The only flight I know of that lands at 2:30am is that REALLY late night flight from LAX....I think they are timed to match up with the Costa Rica flights.

+1 especially if you need parking for that long. If it was a 2-5 night trip then I'd prob go with a self-parking place.

Yeah it's started to seem like a hassle when you involve a shuttle and the wait ... good point.

Yup coming in from LAX. Awkward but it's the only one that works for us. Other option is staying a handful of hours at LAX overnight for the 6 a.m., which is worse.

Wouldn't Uber be cheaper than a taxi?

John Wang Jul 1, 2016 10:47 pm

I used master parking https://www.masterparking.com/ (the website is broken now...) years ago. They can pick you up per calling so it is kind of continent. I don't remember if they can pull the car for you before your arrival or not.

But since I have kids, I always use terminal parking. Too difficult to do what you described with kids...

Not really. We stay at WallyPark Premiere Garage all the time, on the top deck with a AAA rate. That's $10.95ish a day, but not including taxes, living wage fee, etc. that takes it up to $15 something a day. There are other lots around with a list price that is cheaper, but again once taxes and living wage fees are included you wind up over $10 a day.

Edit: I dug through my upcoming reservations, looks like I have a 6 day 13.5 hour reservation and the total (top deck, AAA rate) is $82.94.

I use Park N Jet lot #1 for long stays. They LOOK kind of shady, but I have used them a dozen times with no issues, as have other family members. For 8.5 days the total with tax is $58.60. Dig around for a coupon and you can get it for even a couple bucks less.

Seattlenerd Jul 2, 2016 7:43 am

I used to use WallyPark, but they are often full, and their reservation website is a nightmare. (I've repeatedly found bugs, reported them, yet they remain unfixed.)

I've switched to Wingz, which is an Uber-like service but allows to arrange airport trips a scheduled time for a flat fare (plus tip, if you wish). From the Magnolia neighborhood, for example, it's $34. I recommend it, especially if you want the certainty of a timed picked up and no chance of surge pricing.

jrl767 Jul 2, 2016 7:59 am

fellow Magnolia resident here (at least when I'm not in the office in DC or at FL370 in between) ... we have used WallyPark's Groupon offers for 4-5 day trips, but the website issues are indeed a nuisance

I'd actually agree with the above poster to check airport-area hotels for a park/sleep/fly rate, given the pre-sunrise departure

Those "sometimes" coupons are really "always" coupons, just go to the seatac web site and you'll find a form to fill out, they'll email you the coupon right away. The deal is $19/day or $109/week. If you stay more than a week but less than two, you'll be charged the extra days at the $19 rate.

canderbe Jul 2, 2016 10:15 am

+1 for Park n Jet (I use lot 2). Last time I parked was $7.40/day all in. They got new shuttles recently and they've always been prompt at drop off/pick up. I do valet since I have an old beater car I don't worry about and it's always out front waiting when I get back.

sea_jeff Jul 2, 2016 11:43 am

Good suggestions. Sometimes I rent a car the night before if I can get a super cheap rate and the trip is long enough to make it worthwhile.

Return the car and no parking costs. :) Go home via Uber. Will look up Wingz for sure.

martonikaj Jul 2, 2016 12:16 pm

Wow thanks for the flood of suggestions! Looks like there are more solid options than it seemed at first. It's just so hard to find out what parking places are legit when you just Google search for "SEA airport parking" ... everything kind of looks the same and you don't know which to trust.

Wingz is awesome. Pricing is often slightly less than uber, you book ahead of time, and no surge pricing.

Link does not operate at the time he needs to arrive at the airport and when he returns from his travel. See post # 1:

The two I usually use are Extra Car and Aeroparking. Both use shuttles, extra car is typically a smidge more expensive since it's super close to the airport while Aeroparking is the next exit down the I-5 (you end up going around the airport, which is nice if you go during heavy traffic times). Always had great service from both. Use CD8 discount code for extra car or sign up for the Aeroparking perks program (you'll get a free day too for next time I think) will run you $75-85 for 8-9 days.

IceTrojan Jul 3, 2016 10:59 am

This sounds like a lot of hassle and inconvenience just to save a few bucks in the end. I would just go with UberX door-to-curb and be done with it.

steveman518 Jul 5, 2016 9:22 pm

I generally use shuttlepark2 or Wallypark (usually rooftop at the premier garage). Shuttlepark2 is a little further away, and you can always find the current coupon on their website (or check the valpack ads you get in the mail). If you have access to passport corporate from your employer I believe it's a 30% discount on the base rate for Wallypark. I find that both are pretty good for picking up late arrivals, as I've generally arrive on the last UA flight from SFO after 1AM.

WallyClub Site to Manually Entered Points from Receipt

Shame on me for not bookmarking the site where one can manually input the point from the receipts. The new WallyPark site doesn't have this feature. Does anyone have the URL site bookmarked to manually load the points? Thank you.

evergrn Apr 11, 2017 1:12 am

Wally's Garage was packed the two times I parked during this past month. Both times I'd made reservation for covered self-parking ahead of time. And then you show up and there's a sign at the entrance saying the garage is full and that they're only allowing in folks with reservations. However, the shack next to the entrance is unmanned and there's nothing that stops anyone from entering anyways, with or without reservation. And so I enter and there was literally nothing on either 3rd or 4th floor for a while. I just kept driving around and then someone must've returned via shuttle, because finally I came upon an empty slot after ~10minutes of driving. That's too much hassle to go through when you've booked a reservation.

Less expensive parking near SEA

(I checked the past 2 years and don't see a similar thread)

Where might one park cheaply near Seattle airport? I see that Seatac, the city, requires permits to park in the residential neighborhoods near the airport.
Sea Crest Motor Inn is cheap but I think it is valet parking, which I don't like.
I think the Marriott, somewhat close to the light rail station is cheaper compared to some.

On one upcoming trip, I only need to park one day (morning departure, late night arrival)

Driving to SEA, need pre flight hotel & 24 days parking then post flight hotel

Hi everyone, I am driving into SEATAC from Canada in mid January 2023 and need 1 night pre-flight hotel plus 24 days parking and then 1 night post flight hotel. Any ideas, recommendations on hotels around SEATAC that might have a park, sleep package? Or are there any good longer term parking options at / near SEATAC and I can find the hotels separately.

Alaska just cancelled a bunch of their daily flights from Victoria to Seattle so it's easier just to drive down than deal with multiple schedule changes and cancellations.

Thanks!

Have you considered taking the Victoria Clipper? It would be a lot cheaper than parking for that long and dealing with the border crossings

david55 Aug 22, 2022 12:44 pm

The SeaTac Hilton is our airport overnight place. Their long term parking is covered ( garage) but 24 days sounds expensive. A lot of hotels have park and fly rates. I would be calling around to see if anyone of them can offer you a deal.

fkvemshagen Sep 6, 2022 11:14 am

Thanks all, the clipper sometimes doesn't go if the weather is bad so we can't count on it - good idea though! I will check out the SeaTac Hilton and see if long term parking is an option....

most hotels have a 14 day cap thrn a per day fee after.

you can book a first night+ stays then a second booking of stay+ night stay at the end of the trip

Besides Hilton, The full marriot has a garage I think.

i thought the days inn Had a limited amount of covered parking.

i thought some of the long term offsite parking areas had garages.
