Aeromexico upgrade with points SEA->MEX?
I need to fly SEA => MEX in a couple weeks, never flown Aeromexico before (so no status, no OneWorld status on another airline, no points, but lots of Amex points that can become Aeromexico points). The Aeromexico website says you can upgrade with points, but it's very vague on how that works. Can anyone point me to things like how many points it would cost to upgrade SEA=>MEX? And practically, are those upgrades easily available? (I fly AS all the time, and in theory you can upgrade with points. In practice, you mostly can't; they're rarely available, or they're so many points it's not worth doing.)

Use your Aeromexico Rewards Points to fly better!
Choose a Clase Premier upgrade and fly at the height of comfort. Once you have your flight confirmation, go to aeromexico.com and select the upgrade under Personalize.

If you haven't booked your ticket...besides searching on AM program for award space, you should search flying blue on AF and KLM for AM award space. I suggest you search through both AF and KLM. Even though they share the same program, I have sometimes noticed KLM show AM saver space that AF, DL, and even AM do not show. FB is an AMEX partner, so you'll be able to transfer and book the AM award

Any suggestions on how to search for award tickets on the Aeromexico site? The obvious link on the site is https://vuelaconpuntos.aeromexicorewards.com/, but it just goes to a page that literally just contains the word

Also, may I ask what dates you're thinking?

I need to be in Mexico City from the 8th to the 12th, but I can stay a few days more on either end.

Great suggestion about the app, I hadn't thought of that. Unfortunately, when I try to sign in, it claims that it's sending a security code to my email and that never arrives.

I see. I checked your dates. AM didn't show anything. AF didn't show anything. KLM showed J on the way down and Y on the way up..

I hadn't realized there were two different Android apps: Aeromexico's app, and a Club Premier app. The Club Premier is the one that I can't log in to, and there are many reviews saying the same thing: no one can log in. But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to try to book with points in the Aeromexico Android or iOS app. Any pointers? And it looks like the KLM flights have vanished; I tried AF and KLM (I've got a fair amount of Flying Blue points) and both of them report no available flights for any of the days I could go.

Thanks for the pointers - my final resolution is that I now have seats booked using 65k Amex points => Aeromexico => round trip in Premier. Thought that was a reasonable value for Amex points for a flight where I'm very constrained on dates and it's only a week away.
The biggest problem I had was that Aeromexico's main web site has a bad link for how to book with miles. You need to go here: https://www.aeromexicorewards.com/us/welcome/ (or the Spanish version), and you need to log in with your Aeromexico number and password. Once you're there, everything worked fine for me. The main site tries to send you to this site, and you'll just get an error message: https://vuelaconpuntos.aeromexicorewards.com/ unless you're already logged in via https://www.aeromexicorewards.com/us/welcome/ .
Amex transfers were actually very fast, not the 48 hours they said to expect. Within minutes, one part of the Aeromexico site showed that I had all the miles I needed. However, that didn't carry through to the part of the site that does the booking. I'd see that I had 104k miles showing on https://www.aeromexicorewards.com/us/welcome/, but then when I went to actually book on the https://vuelaconpuntos.aeromexicorewards.com/ page, it showed 0 miles. Cleared up in about an hour by itself.
Also, I didn't manage to get a seat assignment, and when I try to modify the flight it tells me that I can't, because the flight is provided by Aeromexico (at least according to Google Translate; my Spanish is almost nonexistent):
