Short Checking Bags on Aeromexico for Overnight in MEX

I'm going to be transiting through MEX on an overnight connection (~14 hours) on a domestic itinerary. For various reasons I'd rather check my luggage vs. carrying it around the airports/on board but I also need it when I get to MEX for my overnight.

What is Aeromexico's policy on short checking luggage in situations like this, where there is an overnight connection?

Based on my experience with AM, all overnight connections in MEX require you to pick up your checked luggages at MEX, and re-check your bags to your next flight on the next day.

This has been my experience as well.

I have done multiple overnights, always had to pick up and check it in the following day. To be honest, I don't think I would want my luggage sitting around out of sight at any airport for 14 hours anyway.
