Oregon airport scrambles as Allegiant Air pulls out

USA Today: Oregon airport scrambles as Allegiant Air pulls out

Allegiant Air will end its service to Oregon's Roberts Field-Redmond Municipal Airport that serves the communities of Bend and Redmond. The carrier will end its service to the airport on Aug. 12, The Associated Press reports.

The pullout has left airport officials scrambling to make up for the loss of Allegiant, which accounted for about 11% of the airport's passengers, according to The Bulletin of Bend. Allegiant currently flies from Redmond to both Oakland and Phoenix/Mesa.
