I was flying MAA-bah-RUH on GF, and (as is pretty much usual for a GF 320 ride) thanks to the bird going tech there was a 3 hour delay at MAA .. for a 6:20 AM departure flight that forced me to wake up at 3 AM, grr.

Of course, that led to a misconnect at BAH, with MAA GF staff promising they'd call BAH and get me rebooked to a SV flight at 2 PM bahrain time.

Land in BAH around noon and - surprise, surprise - no such rebooking had taken place and I was offered a seat on a 7:45 PM GF flight to RUH.

So, I went to the GF lounge to wait, and the lounge supervisor there, Edyta, was the most friendly and helpful lounge staffer I've met in over a decade of flying. She spent quite some time trying to call SV and when no one picked up the phone, she took my ticket over personally to the SV counter and got me on the SV flight, returning with minutes to spare (I made that flight on the last call, full credit to her for expediting this).
