Thinking about the latest rumours i hardly believe that GF is able to replace their old A340-300 (and solve some of their other problems as well) very soon. So i guess the chances to lie flat in F on flights bound for BKK or MNL are very slim. KUL is scheduled to get the A340-200 but as we are talking about GF you could still wager some coins that youll end up on a 767 finally...

Welcome aboard Update
On behalf of the Gulf Air Frequent flyer team and myself, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you.

We've got a lot in store for you - taking off from the launch of our new internet booking engine and its really convenient features, to the latest news about our additional flight to London.

You'll also learn all about the upcoming Freddie Awards that invite you to cast your vote for your favourite airline loyalty programme, extra flights during the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2008 and more opportunities to earn bonus miles through our partner offers.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for flying with Gulf Air in 2007, and look forward to your continued support in the coming year.

Wishing you and your families the very best in the New Year.

Now that GFs own booking engine has changed on its website, anyone know of a way of finding out exactly which First and Business Class seats are free in each cabin prior to purchasing?
I loved the facility on the old engine where you could choose (and see how full the cabin was) prior to payment

Couldn't agree more - I want to buy 2 return business class LHR/MCT and upgrade to First on the LHR/BAH/LHR sectors .
The last thing I want to do is to find , after buying the tickets , that First is full.
The only way I have thought of doing it is to go through the process of buying First (which will tell you availability) then buying business whilst also on the phone to GulfFF to ensure I can get the upgrade.
At least there are no blackouts on Gulf.

Did you check if they sell seats at "first class promo" prices already for that flights on their homepage.. if yes, I'd guess, there will be enough seats available.. but only a guess, sure..
