Down Grade

What do you get when ELAL Down grade you on a code share flight (Iberia)
from Business class (I class) to Economy.
It was on Saturday on no ELAL representative was in Barcelona airport
Iberia people said that ELAL did overbooking on the business class

Iberia don't let you in the business launch (even that you are a GL)
ELAL said it was Iberia mistake

another one
what do you get when the video system doesnt work on your flight (to Spain)

try to guess what I got

They should pay you the fare difference between full fare c and y class. El Al would be responsible as they issued your ticket.

<<[try to guess what I got>>

My guess is that they gave you a free bagel. Just kidding. Maybe an upgrade to C on your next LY flight? I can't take the suspense.

on another flight they gave an upgrade voucher because there was no video
on the flight (the old 737-800) TLV to BCN
at first they offered 10% discount on duty free (you buy 40$ get 4$ :-)
on the way back the same plain and they gave 50$ voucher
But I was in busines so later they sent me the upgrade vaoucer...

they are starnge
they think that not having a movie is like downgrade

Well, you know it's very strange. I used to vary quite a lot between BA and EL AL from London->TLV. I had one really bad experience with the check in people at BA in London (business class) and told them that would be my last trip with BA. They were not moved in the slightest. I then moved over almost 100% to LY and reached their Platinum tier. BA lost a lot of business from me, which was gained by EL AL. But then I meet people who did the same, but in reverse. All told, this type of consumer reaction is what keeps airlines on their toes.
