Saudia - better layover/lounge in JED or RUH?

Never flown Saudia, now an option with my newly matched STE from KQ, so which is better for a c 2 hour layover, esp wrt getting a shower.
Thanks

For 2 hours I would say RUH is better, because the distances you would have to walk are way shorter than in JED.

I have never been in RUH so cannot compare, but the lounge in the new international terminal in JED is really excellent.....with snooze corners and so on. Lounge quality hence may be an issue, and outweigh 5-10 min extra walking time (even though the JED terminal in my experience has no excessive walking distances)

Thanks for responses. Now ready to book and the JED option is >$500 more expensive than via RUH, so will be Riyadh after all…

Is that because of a long layover (Saudi departure taxes) or fare buckety?

no showers in RUH lounge

Thanks for all comments, indeed sounds like JED lounge would have been better as RUH lounge was tiny and had no showers or even toilets...

FWIW, a few years ago I ended up in the RUH lounge and connected my phone to wifi. Thereafter it was inundated with spam in Arabic that I could never figure out how to get rid of. Ended up binning the phone and getting a new one. YMMV...
