Question Will ET 672 (ICN arr NRT 20:25) check bag through to UA902 (18:55 next day NRT-HNL)?

We'll be traveling on award Y seats on ET 672 (leave ICN 17:45, to NRT 20:25), for a 22hr layover in NRT. Then connect next day on UA 902 NRT 18:55 to HNL. Will ET be able to check our luggages through to UA flight to HNL? Or would we need to pick up luggages in NRT to take us to hotel?

We'll stay at a hotel near NRT.

Thanks.

If they're on separate tickets, I'd say no. NRT has both lockers and manned bag storage throughout the terminal, which is very easy to use.

It's on the same aeroplan award tickets. If cannot check bags through, we'll just have to lug the bags to the NRT hotel we'll be staying in. Use the onsite hot springs (Onsen), then go to airport.

If same ticket, then possible, and IMHO 99% ok. However, check with the UA landside desk at NRT that your bags are visible and loaded onto the UA flight, before passing immigration out of Japan.
ET are not the best at tracking bags and you may be surprised to need looking for your bag in the lost and found storage in NRT.
(considering their reservation is SABRE= same like AA, different from what most other airlines use = AMADEUS).
