Interline baggage agreements
Traveling RST/MSP/AMS/JNB on NW/KL. Arrive JNB 9.45PM. Plan to stay in Protea Transit Hotel within JNB International Terminal. Next morning connect on Nationwide flight JNB to LVI (Livingstone Zambia). NW doesn't have an agreement with Nationwide, Nationwide doesn't show up on NW computer system. KL does have agreement with Nationwide. It has been suggested we check our luggage RST-JNB, but during transit in AMS ask KLM to reroute luggage to LVI via Nationwide. Is this a good idea? We would just as soon not see our luggage in JNB, but we do want to see it in LVI!

I think you posted this in the wrong section. This section is about HOTEL programs, nothing to do with airlines.
