Microtel--Toledo
My family and I stayed at a Microtel Inn and Suites in Toledo (Northwood--off of I75)last week while driving from Chicago to Central PA. The hotel looked fairly new and was a very nice stay for a budget traveler. The amenities were very basic, but our room had a coffee maker and hair dryer in it. A continental breakfast was provided (bagels, cereal, toast, and muffins). We tried out the pool on the morning before we checked out. The water was a little cool, but not freezing. The hot tub did feel nice though. Our 4 year old wanted to stay longer (what is it with kids and hotels?).
We paid $53 (including a AAA discount) for a standard room. Suites were running in the mid-60s with AAA discount. Overall, I though it was a good value for what we paid. This hotel was much better than chains like Days Inn, Super 8, or Motel 6 (IMO).
