Kea Lani?
Anyone have any thoughts on the Kea Lani in Maui. I have Hyatt points to use at the Hyatt Maui but from what I've read Wailea is a nicer, quieter place to be and that the Kea Lani is a great hotel -- there are 4 of us and the suite concept is appealing as well.
However, is it worth paying $300-400 over just using free nights at the Hyatt? What sort of room should I go for -- oceanview rooms seem like a huge premium.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Depends what you want. The suite concept at the Kea Lani is great for families. If its 2 couples going, then 1 will share a sofa-bed.
As for the view, everytime I go and opt for the garden view I kick myself for not getting the ocean...its incredible.
We have found the hotel great--service, separate kid and adult pools, good beach. As for weather the Wailea area is a sun belt compared to other areas of the island.
