Children’s age, will it be checked?

Hey guys,

We had an amazing stay in the Sofitel Gatwick last year and we’re replicating the holiday this year.

Last year my son was 11, we got one room and it cost around Ł130. This year their site is forcing me to buy two rooms as he’s 12!

he’s still a baby and sleeps with us. if I say he’s 11 will they pick up on that when we check in?

GF

Sorry for only just seeing this. I've never been asked for id in UK hotels. That's on stays alone, as a couple and with my kids who are 10 and 12). We're all British and reside in the UK, so obviously give them a UK address when booking
