I haven't heard of any fast track, and in the past they have been quite protective of exclusivity. Fwiw, the are also not extending point expiration past Dec 2021, so trying to get back to normal pre-covid terms.

Fast track

They are not offering faster track that I know. However, they occasionally have double the points promos when you stay in hotels and book with them, meaning that you can earn two times the points you are supposed to get. Their last promo ended in September. Let’s see if they have other exciting ones.

There is a double status credit promo until July 31, 2021 ... this means it is only 10 or 25 nights to Jade or Diamond status. I find this program gives the best value for status benefits but in the past pre-covid travel was to locations without their hotels. Also many Shang hotels track your patronage separately, which is great if you go to the same hotel frequently, but these are informal benefits.

Since 2021 was another year of travel restrictions.
Any idea if Shangri-La will extend the Diamond/Jade tier status and benefits & points beyond 31 December 2021 ?

I think that they had a Buy Points recently that was actually quite good, if you needed some more points and hadn't been travelling much. But they have almost no European footprint, unfortunately. Ok if you're in the Middle East or Asia, obviously, which I'm not these days

Status extended for another year to the end of 2022. Great news!

I have 250 Golden Circle points received as part of a promotion expiring at the end of the year. Any ideas how to redeem the points for any value? I live in Los Angeles, CA but seems like most of the properties are in Asia.

No extension of points expiry! One either has to bet that the plandemic would be over by June 2022, or stick with pathetic point exchange to airlines, or stupid toaster! Extension of status means nothing to me.

But, weirdly, my email statement of 10 December shows 0 points expiring on 31 Dec 2021 whereas previously it showed points that would expire.

Should I trust that? Can't find anything in my account online.

On 29 Dec my account showed circa 4000 points with 500 set to expire year end, then on 31 Dec it was only showing 400 points remaining. Very strange.

I just got an update from Shangri-La mentioning that they're going to a fixed rate of 15 points to $1 in April 2022. This would be a major devaluation (current rates are 8-10 depending on status) and of course it was in the context of "exciting updates."
