If you make advance reservations for any of these motels/hotels (I made them 4 hr prior to arrival one time) and using one of their 800 numbers, you can get a good deal.
Just mention you want their "senior advanced reservation rate" and you will get 30% off their regular rates. Senior is defined as 50+, but no one I know has ever had to prove it. The usual "subject to availability..." applies, but I have batted 100% by doing this. And yes, I really am over 50.
