Best hotel program
What hotel award program is best for me?
I travel internationally about twice a year on vacation (Peru, Tanzania, Phillipines, Mexico).
I travel as part of my work too so I can rack up a ton of award points with the hotels my company puts me up in (that I can use towards my vacation accommodations). My work travel is mainly within the US.
I've been using hotels.com since they have so many different hotel brands I can book at all over the world. But hotels.com only gives you one free night for 10 nights. I wonder if there is a better program for me that still offers a lot of flexibility in terms of what hotel brand I stay at.
Thanks.

Hilton is a good program with global reach, including properties in all the countries you mention. It offers good mid and high tier benefits at gold and Diamond level. Sound like you are able to purchase your own hotels and get reimbursed, in which case you can get a hilton credit card with good free night bonuses as well. How many nights a year are you spending in hotels?

I agree with FormalHall.
At mid-tier Gold status, Hilton already provides free breakfast and internet access with room upgrades (if available of course). This alone is solid for any hotel stays.
I feel that SPG do have a solid presence worldwide but benefits are mostly rewarding at their top-tier Platinum.
