Do Sol Melia Points expire

I'm unsure of their official policy but they indeed eventually expire if your account has no activity for a while... Seems like a manual process, though.
I accumulated some points from a single trip about 7 years ago; three years later they took them all back with a comment line stating that it was related to account inactivity.
So I guess YMMV.

They do expire after 2 years of inactivity. For example: your last stay was 27.9.2008. You loose all your points on 27.9.2010.
But it is possible (I live in Germany) to transfer the points 2:1 to miles-and-more or air berlin by phone.

but remember....if you purchase points in any small denomination that is considered as account activity and will therefore extend the period for another 2 years!

I think I have had about 30k points for 10 years or so...had an occasional stay here and there, sometimes more than two years in between...now I cannot get into my account anymore
