FWIW, I remember a couple years back in 2004 at Kuching airport, they were boarding two Air Asia planes at the same time, one to BKI and one to KUL through the same corridor, just different doors, next to each other.
Since its free seating, and a cattle rush to the plane, and there was no indication which plane was heading where, I m pretty sure there was people who got on the wrong plane
