Air Europa EC261 claims?

Air Europa EC261 claims?
Hi all,
I had a flight in early August ZRH-MAD-MEX; the ZRH-MAD leg was on Air Europa and the MAD-MEX leg was on Aeromexico.
All of this was on a single ticket sold by Aeromexico.
The ZRH-MAD segment arrived an hour late and caused me to miss the MAD-MEX flight.
There was no reason given for the delay, other than late arrival on the inbound from Madrid that morning.
Air Europa gave me a hotel for the night, food voucher, and rebooked me on the next day's MAD-MEX flight with AM.
I submitted an EC261 claim through the "complaints form" on the Air Europa website - I received an email acknowledgement but haven't heard anything else for about 3 weeks now.
Does anyone have any experience with EC261 claims and Air Europa?
