Further information from the Independent:

"The first day of Flybe’s new link from Newquay to Heathrow ended in a shambles, with passengers on the early evening flight from the Cornish airport taken on a six-hour bus ride to London instead.

Passengers for flight BE2187 were due to board at 6.15pm on Sunday. But 15 minutes later there was an announcement of a technical problem.

After engineers were unable to fix an electrical fault, the flight was cancelled at 8pm."

Note - this doesn't match up with the cancelation time mentioned on Expert Flyer above.

Potentially not the same thing, but it continues:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-47797738

"Regional airline Flybe has cancelled dozens of flights on Wednesday morning for what it describes as "operational reasons".

Five flights from Belfast City Airport and four from Birmingham are among those affected, along with departures from Southampton, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Newcastle."

The Nqy-lhr route is going to suffer delays and cancellations in the event of tech issues as Nqy is a one aircraft base so no potential to recover things without positioning in a spare aircraft.

The route Does seem to be picking up hefty delays mainly as expected ground delays at lhr.

ongoing hopefully BE will base two aircraft at newquay and operate Manchester and BHX etc ex Nqy which might provide a little more juggle room in the event of delays etc

I'm flying this route in a couple of weeks - hopefully will run as planned but I am managing expectations.

Have flown this a few times now. There seems to be virtually no slack in the timings, so if anything goes wrong in the morning the delays continue on all flights for the rest of the day. (I'm guessing some of this is actually due to Heathrow ATC and ground delays when flights are out of sequence too). Still waiting to see what their new Winter timings are going to be too.
