Talking FLL TO SYD in Business on China Airlines? What to expect

All -

Anyone responding to this email would be greatly apprecaited. I orginally had booked ATL-IAD-ICN-AKL on DL/KE and then a purchased ticket on Qantas from AKL. The inbound had me sleeping in Auckland and Seoul as well as paying for a coach ticket between AKL-SYD. Now I am on Air China from

FLL-LAX-SFO - Delta First
SFO-TPE-SYD - Air China Business.

I was wondering what to expect on the SFO-TPE and TPE-SYD Legs as well as Visa information for my quick transit.

The Air China site doesnt offer any information as well as information regarding AVOD, Laptop Power, Flat Bed, Etc.

Any help would be apprecaited.

Just wondering why you chose not to fly:
FLL-LAX-SYD?
Air China is also not part of the SkyTeam alliance, therefore I would imagine this thread will be moved. I believe they are joining the Star Alliance (*A).

I believe the OP meant to say China Airlines.

His routing is via TPE, and that is their hub.

That would make more sense. China Airlines is joining SkyTeam?

Not sure, but they are partners, at least within the Delta program. Also, they are reasonably good at awards for miles redemption.

DL codeshares on many China Air flights. I assume that is what the OP has purchased.

Yes...They are Skyteam....You cant get MQM from them, but you can redeem on them. It did take 210,000 miles for Business and I wouldnt take American/Qantas as I dont travel on One World.

Anyone have any thoughts on expectations for the service per the routing?

As staed emphatically above, NO THEY ARE NOT, they are a Skymiles partner (and could be others for all I know), neither are they a prospective Skyteam member as China Southern is becoming a member quite soon and you are not going to see both in the same alliance.

All i was doing was asking what kind of service to expect on China Air. It was pruchased through Skymiles points. They are a redemption partner for award travel and you can accumulate miles, etc on them, just not some MQM privlideges.

Chill the f*** out.

If you are ever able to figure out the name of the airline you're flying (which is neither Air China nor China Air), use Google to find their website. Then select "Cabin Guide", choose the correct plane type, then select "Dynasty Class". All the info is there.

Hint: You are not flying a Boebus 583 or an Airing 275.

Whoa, chill out there. Cursing isn't allowed here, but maybe in OMNI is it.

Your question would be better served in a different area of FlyerTalk? @:-)

Neither China Air or Air China are members of the SkyTeam alliance. Whether you paid for the ticket in cash, credit, sand dollars, or skymiles, it doesn't belong here.

Mods...

I could have sworn that China Air AND Air China both flew Boebus A745-800ER?
