Upgrading on Philippine air? Bid or Buy

I am going to flying from LAX to Indonesia on Philippine air.

Any idea what the best bid to get up front or approximate cost to buy a seat up there 36 hours before the flight?

Thanks

They have a bid program. Since I had some day flights I was happy in Y. Minimum bid not cheap, a few 100$ for MNL-HND which was with recliners in an A321. You should be able to check the minimum bid any time before you fly.

I flew CEB-ICN in a very cheap fare a few weeks ago and was never offered an upgrade. The website said I was not eligible and I was not offered one during OLCI either.

The minimum bid on PVG-MNL was $300 on my flight last year. The return was only $250 but that was an A321.

Thanks was the accepted minimum bid or just the lowest allowable bid?

I did a buy it now for first class on my ticket for like 1,600 dollars and my wife bought 2 extra neighbor free seats in the back for 140 bucks for each seat. Great Value on a long flight!

Thanks again

Buying the adjacent seats is a bargain comparde to the lowest bid price to BC.

Just put a bid in for PE HKG - MNL. Promises a glass of Champagne and premium meal, IF I win and they serve any sparkling fake that is not Champagne credit card company will have a problem.--------

and on PR 318 last Sunday bid at lowest price offered not accepted despite 22 of 24 PE seats empty on the flight. They took authorisation on my credit card and I 3DS approved.

trying them again with a J class bid on another flight this week.

if they do it again they will get another referral to The Philippines CAA. They just got a rap for the last referral.

I only want them to grow up and join the real world!
