Taiwan's StarLux to sign MOU for 17 Airbus A350 Series

Chang is to sign MOU for 17 Airbus A350 orders at the Farnborough Airshow with Airbus (citing 5 A350-900 and 12 A350-1000).

In addition to leasing 10 A321, where 5 has already been leased with 5 more to come.

I'm quite surprised that Airbus got the widebody order.

Maybe this came down to which leasing company had the slots for desired delivery dates.

That is a nice order. The A350 is a far Superior comfort wise. So it is a win for the customer.

since Taiwan already has ST and *A carriers... hopefully this can be Taiwan's answer to Oneworld... looking forward to see it fly!

I wonder what CX will say...

He is being really ambitious - the airline will be service focused and will offer F. I really hope it works out.

Taiwan MOT approved Staulux's application to start service to Japan and Thailand - both open sky countries with Taiwan.

First scheduled flight is January 2020.
