CA Transit at Beijing - approximate wait time?

I am just curious about the usual wait time for transit immigration and security at PEK. I will be arriving on a Saturday morning around 8:30 AM. Is this a busy arrivals time? When my family and I arrived around 6 AM a couple years ago, the combination of immigration and security took over 75 minutes. Is the 8:30 - 9:00 arrival time usually busier, about the same, or less busy than the 6:00 AM time?

8.30 should be better, but I would still assume wait time will be 45 to 60 minutes.

J makes no difference, I am not sure if F makes...

I would assume 45-60 minute transit (in the worst case scenario)...

the universal rule is that friends don't let friends transit at either PEK or PVG.... too many delays, too long of lines, too much chance for things to go wrong.
