sorry Matt - we swiss (from one end to the other it is just 210 miles ...) have a complex vis-à-vis our big northern neighbours and because of that complex, we swiss-german speaking helvetians seldom give "Deutschland" as the right answer ...

I liked that too, the kicker is to multiply by 9 because the answer will always add to 9:
2x9=18
3x9=27
4x9=36
5x9=45
6x9=54
7x9=63
8x9=72
9x9=81
Even more OMNI is this little trick on 9 multiples:
Just hold your hands out infront of you with fingers extended and count from left to right the number you want to multiply by 9. So if you want to multiply 9 x 5 you would count over to your left thumb and put it down. You should now have the 4 fingers on your left hand showing and 5 on your right which you read as 45. 9x6 you put down your right thumb and you get 5 and 4 fingers or 54. It also works for 1 and 10 but you have to put in an imaginary 0 before or after the 9 fingers.
My school teacher little sister showed me this.

Am just curious -- how did this delightful string happen to land in Malaysian Enrich? I am writing from the Malaysian city of Kuching [which is Malay for Cat]. Should I dare to ask this question, or will curiousity kill the cat!!?! [apologies to the famous/infamous Catman]

(which is the OMNI forum, Celestar... I presume that the answer to the OMNI thread was put here to prevent FlyerTalkers from accidentally reading it before they read the question. The Malaysian Airlines forum is hardly overused, so I don't think that one misplaced thread is the end of the world)
