Garuda First Class AMS - WOW Departure Experience

Having flown First Class a number of times to/from Jakarta to Heathrow on this occasion i needed to fly back from Amsterdam , in Heathrow the lounge and air side experience isn't anything to shout about , but from Amsterdam its a completely different offering

Ia arrived at the airport approx 2 hours before the flight and was escorted directly to the VIP departure lounge , which is actually in the departure hall and before security.

The lounge is huge and empty , has several private rooms , bar , smoking room and a full meal/bar service.

Dutch Immigration actually come to you in the lounge , checked my passport and wished me a good flight.

About 30 mins before departure , i was taken through a private security area in the lounge and the outside where an Audi S8 was waiting to take me to the plane , the driver got a call to say boarding was delayed 10 mins , so we had a mini tour of the airport , at arrival at the gate , we walked up to the steps to the jetty and directly on the plane , no need to show boarding card etc.

All in all it felt like i was travelling private jet , not a commercial airline, apparently this service is only available to Paying First Class ticket holders and not upgrade or mileage tickets ,. it can be bought for around 300 euros.

a great experience , a bit over the top maybe , but i certainly knew i was flying first class

Shame, I wish this was with my LHR flight to SIN via CGK with GA!!!

I did buy my ticket in the GA sale (Black Friday) so I did score a great price for my flight in F!

Happy to hear of your experience. I'll have to try AMS next time! Any photo?
