Just a reminder -
The questions on Wikis for the purposes the posters have listed are good and interesting ones, and I would defininitely like to hear Randy's take on them.
In the meantime, please keep your comments civil and refrain from using this forum to make personal comments or arguments.

I really think this is a great idea if it is implmentable. ^
To give an example of how this would work (instead of discussing the theory), check out this thread on Slick Deals. There are 460+ posts in the evolving thread about getting an extra Gift Card for using CoinStar, BUT the 3rd post by "user" wikipost, gives the summary details. That can get everyone up to speed w/ the basic info w/o wading through posts and posts and pages and pages of misleading info and banter. ^
That functionality would be wonderful in long threads (YYZ-LCA or AKL Biz for example) and a definite benefit for the entire community.

We are actually trying to give this a go in Mileage Run forum a modified and MOD-ified fashion.
The summary post is currently only accessible by Mods, but it is being updated on a rolling basis, and the updated date and time is also reflected in the thread title.

By no means a total solution, but at least we're trying!!

For sure, you definitely are. I had missed that thread (not really looking for HNL tickets), but that is a great thing you're doing. ^
And you are doing that great job being innovative with the tools that you have right now. *applause*
My only concern is that IF there was an alternate solution and that was shot down b/c the mods were doing the effort already (giving the mods an unfair burden to shoulder).

No Mod willingly looks to increase their workload on FT (AFAIK!!!).
