Policies against post padding - hypocritical?
Is it just me or is it EXTREMELY hypocritical for a site that promotes mileage running to have policies against people who do post padding? I was trying to post in the UA forum and noticed this and was wondering what other FT MR members thought.

fwiw, i think it's great to have policies on post padding.
(did i just pad, or is expressing my support for an ft policy a valid post?!
)
i also wish some other fora had post criteria, but that's a different issue.

Sorry, not everyone easily sees patterns and I assumed that people on here would have the wherewithall to understand my point. Mileage runs are basically padding FF accounts. We're taking advantage of programs in ways they were never designed to work. Post padding is much the same. Posts are generally indicative of how long you've been in a forum and how valuable and loyal you are to that forum.
Post padding is essentially doing a mileage run on the forum. It seems hypocritical that a site that makes money from mileage runs would be so against post padding. It sort of strikes me as being about as stupid as a Christian who looks down on people who drink wine.

I'm more concerned about the prevalence of bra padding and the false portrayal of one's assets that entails. It's just not right.

I don't see the hypocracy as FT is a place where contributions are made to the community and post padding for post padding sake IMHO doesn't seem to contribute much.

I guess if you're equating boosting your post count to boosting your FF account, you have a point...
