And that's you're opinion and you are freely able to express it, as you have just done. That some might agree or disagree is, to me, what makes OMNI what it is; a no-holds barred arena for dicussion within certain boundaries. Any attempt to stifle the exchange of opinions, at times and in some cases however well meaning, smacks of PC censorship and should, again IMHO, be resisted.

As I said earlier, it's a tall order to expect anyone to evenly apply anti-hijacking rules as each individuals perception of a topic would vary greatly. I personally found it odious and distasteful post-tsunami that some would seek personal gain by asking about lower fares as a result of others misfortune, but that's just me. I didn't expect those threads to be locked or closed, just added my personal opinion on the subject and moved on.

I learned that when I complained about the thread about 3,000 deaths in Iraq (back around the time we had just hit 2,500). I thought it was tasteless (and still do), but it was allowed under the ground rules for OMNI. I find myself spending a lot less time there to keep my blood pressure in check. Fortunately, there's plenty of topics on travel to keep me on board FT.
