Wiki
Randy,
I know that you are committed to having a FT Wiki...But I am worried about the ease in changing entries.
There was an article that I read this week (Wish I cut it out..either CVG Enquirer, USAToday or WSJ) that showed how rediculousily easy it was to change.. Rferred to a librarian who told students not to use Wikipedia....While she was talking, one kid after another, started laughing after changing article on Castro to say he had stinky feet, no friends etc.
There has to be something better

Wikipedia certainly is learning that the wholesome concept of the Internet is not a team sport as some really do think it is a game.
But in fairness, the concept of a Wiki is a great tool to harness without expensive and time consuming coding to develop information applications.
I have read the same as you and understand the risks and challenges. We do have a plan - that is to require FT registration to edit and add to the Wiki. This way, members will be more responsible since their membership on FT is as well part of the participation.
I know I would not risk my privileges on FlyerTalk to post that Delta SkyMiles members "had stinky feet, no friends etc." (just as an example from your post below).
That's not to say we'll have a few less than helpful members, but the current registration should help alleviate some if not most of this threat. I'm not one to simply say that because someone could change an entry that we should never have tried.
This is where my head ins now and let's remember to ask me this question again in one years time.
