My new alternative method for giving away upgrades, is to go into the club at the airport, and ask which long flights have available upgrade seats. I then determine the gate from which they depart, and walk out to the gate and pick a likely suspect. It really is a kick. Actually more fun than giving away an upgrade to a Coupon Connection stranger.

Works for me.
Punki, look for Service Men and Woman. I always try to get them upgraded.

And leaving a redirect on this thread in the main forum and closing the other thread and leaving a link to this thread, stops the IC forum members from finding/replying how?

To me and my co-mod Ralf this thread is in the correct place, and IC forum members can find it from the redirects/links very easily and add there comments, and I am not sure how you get the idea I don't want it discussed, I have left redirects and links on both threads and said please add your comments to this thread on the one I closed.

As if we are fomenting revolution by even suggesting some common sense be introduced rather than enduring rules that might well be appropriate on larger fora, but seem overly restrictive on smaller ones like the IC forum.

Yes, for the short time you permitted the first thread on this subject on that forum, the consensus was against liberalization. When someone raised the matter in a slightly different fashion the other day, we appeared to have a similar split of opinion, but did open up the who issue of GIFTING versus TRADING, or as I maintain CC is becoming, TRAFFICKING. CC is edging ever closer to becoming a Marketplace, not a Community Trading Post. That's a shame, and that's why experience how demonstrated that on smaller fora, this practice introduces more of a sense of Community than Marketplace.

Shareholder - Please try and think about how your above post has to come across to a moderator that invests his private time in helping others, trying to accord to rules that Randy has implemented.

Dino absolutely had no other choice then to move this thread over to ORP. We are all open for 'political' discussion here - but not in miles&points fora.

The wording you chose above is quite offending towards us mods IMO. I hope this is not intended and that we can go back to the topic and not to anything personal about mods or their decissions. Can we agree on that, please?
